dc.description 1974 Alma College Commencement with Victory Bell. The Victory Bell was left with a note on it during the night before Commencement at the home of President and Mrs. Swanson. The note read, "Dr. Robert Swanson, President of Alma College, Through changes in music, hairstyles, and manner of speech, We wanted you to know that there are a few things at Alma College that don't change... This is your gift of tradition from The Class of '74!" The bell now resides on Bahlke field and is used to announce the Scots score.
