dc.description 1969 Alma College Ceremonial Mace. The mace is a 6 foot long piece of black walnut on which has been carved symbols pertaining to Alma's history, traditions, and relationships. It was designed by Alma College Art professor Kent Kirby and carved by Robert Hellem of Manistee.
