dc.description	The Presidential Chain was presented to the Alma College Board of Trustees in 1980 by former President Dr. Robert Swanson. The chain is inscribed with each of the Presidents and years of service to the college. It is passed on from President to President at the time of inauguration. The chain is traditionally worn with regalia at all formal academic functions of the college.
